Territory Sales Manager – Doug was raised on a 4-acre hay production operation before heading off to Virginia Tech University to get his degree in agriculture education. He was an agriculture education teacher for four years, and managed a large farming operation for 9 years before coming to Southern States. He’s a member of the Farm Bureau and the American Society of Agronomy. He’s worked for Southern States for over 22 years, specializing in agronomy, including seed, fertilizer, crop protectants and precision agriculture.
Retail Store Manager – Jason grew up on a commercial beef cattle farm in Virginia. He earned his bachelor’s degree in agricultural management at Virginia Tech University and is a member of the Culpeper Young Farmers and Culpeper FFA Alumini. Jason specializes in row crops, small grain, hay and pasture, and beef cattle production. He is passionate about educating local farmers and helping them make their farms more profitable.
Agronomy Sales Manager - With over 40 years working in agriculture, Joe specializes in corn, wheat and soybeans. He is passionate about listening to the needs of his customers and being a part of their success.
Territory Sales Manager – Bill has worked for Southern States for over 40 years with significant experience in forage, crops and livestock. He’s a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and American Registry of Professional Animal Scientist, as well as a member of the Virginia Crop Production Association and the Page County Farmers Association. He holds a degree in agricultural economics and farm business management.
Agronomy Sales Manager – Ben has been with Southern States for over 5 years and specializes in corn, wheat, soybeans, cotton and tobacco. He holds a degree in ag business management from North Carolina State University and is a Certified Crop Adviser (CCA).

Agronomy Sales Manager - Geoff has been with Southern States for over 20 years and specializes in precision ag. He is a member of the Virginia Crop Improvement Association, an educational and service organization officially recognized as the seed certifying agency in Virginia for maintaining varietal identity and mechanical purity of improved crops.
Agronomy Sales Manager - Whit has been with Southern States for over 31 years and specializes in row crop management of corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton and hay forage production. He is a Mid-Atlantic Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and Virginia Nutrient Management Certified. Whit won Winfield United’s Summit Award in 2017 and 2018 and is a member of the American Society of Agronomy.
