Position Title : Instructional Designer (Contract)


Work Location : Corporate Headquarters, Richmond, VA

Qualifications :

  • Minimum three years professional experience developing computer-based training
  • Experience in instructional design for diverse topics and audiences, including instructor led, web based, virtual classroom, self-study, blended learning and other performance support materials
  • Experience performing front-end analysis, writing course learning objectives, developing storyboards, selecting required media to support lesson design, programming and testing
  • Knowledge of current and emerging instructional technologies and design and an in-depth understanding of instructional issues related to online teaching and learning
  • Ability to learn industry and company programs, concepts, products and services
  • Demonstrated competency to communicate/translate subject matter understandably to end-user
  • Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Ability to learn technical applications related to course development applications such as Captivate, Articulate, Adobe Acrobat Connect Professional (Breeze) and Lectora
  • Effective work-management, organizational, communication, analytical & creative skills
  • Valid Drivers License and ability to travel (5%)
  • Able to pass background check and drug screen

 

Education : Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Instructional Technology or a related field. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Responsibilities :

  • Apply web/computer based technologies and interactions to appeal to learners in different ways, balancing learner needs against organizational needs and/or company goals
  • Write, script, storyboard, produce graphics program and web-based training content
  • Analyze input of SME's to develop and modify instructional material
  • Identify user needs, analyze and logically organize complex technical information and transform complex bodies of information into professionally designed, engaging and effective programs
  • Develop training materials for both instructor led and web-based learning opportunities
  • Work with Training department colleagues to integrate technology into classroom and individualized training
  • Work with departmental colleagues to design, develop and deliver assessment strategies
  • Create and maintain effective documentation for assigned training programs, including student and instructor guides, visual aids, quick reference material and other training materials

Position Title : Farm and Home Sales Manager


Work Location : Based out of your home (West VA, Western MD, Northern VA)

Qualifications :

  •  Previous sales and marketing experience.
  • Knowledge of farm and home supply products and programs (pet food, animal health, gates & fencing, bird feed, livestock equipment, etc.)
  • Administrative knowledge and experience related to sales (handling customer complaints, resolving billing errors, etc.)
  • Demonstrated sales ability (able to promote & sale SSC products)
  • Willingness to learn and commit to success
  • Able to apply creativity and initiative to develop new selling strategies
  • Effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • PC Proficiency (MS Office)
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Ability to travel (2 - 3 nights a week; company vehicle provided)
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities :

Based out of your home, you will be responsible for wholesale and retail farm and home supply sales in an assigned geographic territory (West VA, Western MD, Northern VA). Essential job functions includes meeting sales goals for Retail Services, Managed Coops and Private Dealer wholesale volume, developing strategies to increase both wholesale and retail business, conducting product training and more.
