Off-Road Diesel & Bulk Fuel Delivery for Farms & Fleets

When your equipment runs, your operation runs. Southern States delivers on- and off-road diesel, and bulk fuel straight to farms, fleets, and businesses across Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. From ultra-low sulfur diesel to our SuperGold Performance Diesel, you get clean, dependable fuel and delivery you can schedule around your workload. Not the other way around.
Off-Road Diesel Delivery
Looking for off-road diesel near you? Southern States delivers dyed off-road diesel to farms, construction sites, and job sites throughout our service area. Off-road diesel — sometimes called dyed or red diesel — is made for equipment that never touches public roads: tractors, combines, generators, skid steers, and heavy machinery. It meets the same EPA ultra-low-sulfur diesel (ULSD) standard of 15 ppm sulfur as on-road fuel, so it burns cleanly and protects modern engines.

The red dye is a tax marker. Because off-road diesel is exempt from the on-road fuel tax, it costs less, but it’s for off-road use only. We handle delivery so your crews stay focused on the work. Tell us your tank size and location, and we’ll build a diesel fill schedule that keeps your equipment moving.

We can install monitors on all of the power fuels tanks just like the propane tanks.

SuperGold Performance Diesel:
Work Longer, Save More
Not all diesel is created equal. SuperGold Performance Diesel is our fully treated premium diesel fuel, formulated with a complete additive package to keep engines running longer and stronger. Every gallon is formulated to boost performance, protect components, and cut downtime, whether it’s powering a fleet, a tractor, or a standby generator.

SuperGold delivers:
• Higher cetane for easier starts and smoother, more complete combustion
• Superior detergency that keeps injectors and fuel systems clean
• Added lubricity to reduce wear on pumps and injectors
• Corrosion protection that guards tanks and fuel lines against rust and moisture
• A fuel stabilizer that extends storage life and fights fuel breakdown

The result is better mileage, fewer repairs, and equipment that’s ready when you are. For operations that depend on their diesel, premium fuel isn’t a luxury — it's protection against costly downtime and repairs.
On-Road (ULS) vs. Off-Road (DULS) SuperGold
On-Road (ULS) vs. Off-Road (DULS) SuperGold

SuperGold comes in two forms. On-road SuperGold (ULS — ultra-low sulfur) is for licensed vehicles that drive on public highways: trucks, delivery vans, and fleet vehicles. Off-road SuperGold (DULS — dyed ultra-low sulfur) is the red-dyed version for tractors, equipment, and generators that stay off public roads. Same premium additive package, same clean-burning ULSD base. The difference is the dye and the tax status. Not sure which you need? Your local Southern States team can help you choose.

Off-Road Diesel vs. On-Road Diesel: What’s the Difference?
The difference comes down to dye, taxes, and where the fuel is used. On-road diesel is clear (or lightly colored) and taxed for vehicles that drive on public roads. Off-road diesel is dyed red and sold tax-free for equipment that stays off public roads: farm tractors, construction machinery, generators, and heavy equipment.

Chemically, today’s on-road and off-road diesel are nearly identical: both are ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) at 15 ppm sulfur. The red dye simply marks the fuel as an off-road, tax-exempt product. Using dyed diesel in an on-road vehicle is illegal and carries stiff penalties, so the two are kept separate. For farms and job sites, off-road diesel is the clear choice: the same clean-burning fuel, lower cost, delivered right to your equipment. Ask us which fuel fits your operation.
