
Southern States® 12% All Stock Feed Pellet
This feed is designed to be fed as a supplement to pasture and hay for maintenance horses, beef cattle, goats and sheep.
FEEDING DIRECTIONS:
This feed is designed as a supplement to pasture and hay. It is not designed to be fed as the sole ration.
Introduce this, and all new feeds, slowly over a 7- to 10-day period to all species. Provide free access to pasture and good quality hay.
Provide fresh clean water at all times and provide species appropriate mineral supplementation as needed. Salt should be available free-choice. Feeding rates should be adjusted as needed to maintain desired body condition.
Feed maintenance horse 1.0 to 2 LB per 100 LB bodyweight depending upon body condition and amount of work or exercise. Provide free access or 1.5 to 2.0 LB of good quality long-stem hay per 100 LB bodyweight per day or free access to good quality pasture. Fresh clean water should be available at all times. Horses that have been exercised should be cooled out and re-hydrated properly before being fed and before having access to unlimited water.
Feed weaned cattle at the rate of 1 to 3% of bodyweight (1 to 3 LB per 100 LB of bodyweight) depending on body condition, desired rate of gain and quality of range and forage. Provide adequate good quality hay or pasture and fresh clean water at all times along with free-choice species appropriate mineral at all times.
Feed goats at 1 to 2 LB per 100 LB bodyweight per day. Provide adequate good quality hay or pasture and fresh clean water along with free-choice species appropriate mineral at all times
Feed sheep at 1 to 2 LB per 100 LB bodyweight per day. Provide adequate amounts of good quality hay or pasture and fresh clean water along with species appropriate mineral at all times.
This product does not contain added copper. Species appropriate mineral should be offered as needed.
Store feed in a clean, cool and dry location. Storage area should be free of insects and rodents. Do not allow animals access to feedstuffs that show signs of insect or rodent infestation. Do not allow animals access to hot or moldy feedstuffs at any time.
